Name: Amber Hunter
Age: 16
Occupation: High school student & House’s goddaughter (if that is okay…)
Is Your Character Willing To Die?: No, not particularly.
Special Talents/Extra Info: Amber Hunter has the ability to get under anyone’s skin anytime she chooses. Some people that know her would say it is one of her hobbies to annoy those around her. And of those who also know Gregory House, they cannot decide who is worse…Amber or House. However, when she isn’t annoying or attempting to annoy someone, she also has the talent to mirror whoever she is interacting with, someone’s mood. If the person is nice to her, she is nice right back. If the person is rude, she is rude right back. In addition to the above, she also has the knack for getting into trouble without really realizing it. It is as if trouble is following her around just for the heck of it. I haven’t decided if Amber is a product of an affair between House and her mother or not. How ever I’m leaning more to an affirmative at this point.
Personality: Other than being extremely annoying, Amber has other qualities some might consider her as not a total lost cause. She is extremely inquisitive, always asking questions which some would say is her most annoying quality. She is cheeky, and always ready with a snide remark as a comeback. As for her mind with her IQ, if early 1990’s television shows were real, she’ll be the next Doogie Howser, MD. She is extremely intelligent, smart, and perhaps too independent for her own good. She also has the mentality of ‘I am right and you are wrong’, has absolutely no respect for authority. (Sound familiar anyone?) The only person able to put her in her place is her godfather, Gregory House.
Other than being annoying, Amber’s hobbies include watching ‘CSI’, ‘CSI: Miami’, and ‘NCIS’. She likes to quote movies, television, Shakespeare, and long dead philosophers. She likes to listen to classical music, jazz, rock, classic rock, rock-n-roll, alternative music, country, basically anything with English. She also has been known to play with House’s Game Boys and computer when he wasn’t looking. However, she likes baseball and gets sent to the movies every Tuesday night.
History: Born to Nicholas ‘Nick’ and Brenda Hunter, her life started out normal. Her parents were Dr. House’s childhood friends, which there were few of and fewer who kept in touch. When her parents asked House to if he would be Amber’s godfather, he reluctantly grumbled ‘yes’. Of course he didn’t think anything would happen to them, so he very rarely visited. Of course, Amber never forgot him and his visits. Even more strangely, she actually looked forward to them.
However, House had to step up to his responsibility as Amber’s godfather when he received a dreaded phone call from the police. Mr. and Mrs. Hunter were killed in a fatal car accident, and five year-old Amber was without parents. House took her into his home and provided for her the necessities: food, clothes, and shelter. He sent her to school, but he failed to provide her with the emotional support she needed. Which might be the reason why she turned out the way she is.
Even though she is living with House, very few outside the hospital know she exists. Of course Wilson knows about her because of the weekly(?) poker nights at House’s home, but out of respect and at House’s request, he keeps it to himself. When Amber’s godfather got shot, she went through at tough time. It was one of the very few times she had shown true emotions since her parents’ death.

You are going about your everyday business around the area. You start to feel sick, but not noticeably so. Write your character’s reactions and thoughts. At least two paragraphs required.
Amber stood up and her stomach felt like it was going to roll upside down on her, but she pushed herself out the door of the bus and into the entrance of the school. ‘What in the bloody world did I eat?’ She asked herself.
She walked into her math class before the bell rang and laid her head quietly down on her desk. ‘Maybe if I relax a little before class, I would feel better.’ She thought to herself as she drifted off to sleep. Next thing she knew was the teacher was shaking her awake. “What is wrong, Amber?” He asked her.
“Stomach feels like on a boat in the middle of a squall.” She replied still refusing to lift her head from her desk. “I’ll catch up after school.” She suggested hoping she can continue to sleep.
