Accepted! Welcome to PPTH, Doctor Cameron!

[Name:]Allison Cameron
[Age:] 35
[Occupation:] Doctor (immunologist)
[Special Talents/Extra Info:] Dr. Cameron has a special talent for getting emotional for her patients. She does feel for them because Cameron knows what it must feel like to have cancer -- she had experience with that.
Dr. Cameron is a very smart doctor. She was one of the top students in her class when she was in medical school.
[Personality:] Cameron is the most empathetic on House’s team. She is the best with patients. She is honest, sincere, and she possesses a strong moral. She uses her common sense to diagnose patients. She voices her opinion on diseases without hesitation. She is hesitant at times when she does House’s bidding -- when she is required to lie or deceive patients. She has argued with House on many occasions, but she has shown feelings towards House. They had an on-and-off, very small relationship. She was, at one point, timid to tell patients that they are dying. She is also against abortions.
[History:] Doctor Cameron is a member of Dr. House’s team of specialists at PPTH. She is an immunologist, a broad branch of biomedical science that covers the study of all aspects of the immune system in all organisms. She was once one of the top students in her class in medical school.
Before working at PPTH, she was a medical intern at the Mayo Clinic. Cameron was married once, when she was 21, to a man that had thyroid cancer. The marriage lasted six months. This was a traumatic experience for Cameron. She claims that if she hadn’t married him, then he’d be alone.
Cameron did, however, sort of fall in love again: she showed an interest for House. The earliest feelings she showed towards him was when she gave him a Christmas present -- showing that she showed trust towards him as a doctor. She was also one of the few who met his parents and acknowledged his birthday. Cameron finally got fed up with House’s hidden feelings about her and asked him if he liked her or not to which House replied no. House did take Cameron on a date, but only if she promised to return to work after the hospital board chairman, Voglar, dismissed her. On the date, House bought her a corsage. Sadly, the date didn’t go well, though.
House told her that she thought she could fix everything that isn’t perfect, which was why she married the man dying of cancer. She does not love, she needs.
Now that he’s dead, she is trying to look for someone else. However, when Stacy showed up, Cameron realized that House loved Stacey and not her.
Cameron still had a chance with romance when she was invited to move to Africa by Dr. Sebastian Charles. However, she declined. Later, a man who has HIV coughed blood in her face putting her at risk for contracting the disease. She refused to get tested for HIV but House showed that he cared about her by taking a quick swab in her mouth and opening the letter that contained the test results. She didn’t have it.
Cameron’s relationship with Foreman was jeopardized when she accused him of stealing her idea for an article in the medical journal. She was very angry about this, which was apparent to all the other doctors. She did apologize to Foreman for acting that way. Foreman responded by telling her that their relationship was professional, they were not friends. However, later on, when Foreman had an unknown disease, he exposed Cameron to the disease on purpose -- which led her to find treatment at the patient who exposed Foreman to the disease’s house to find a cure which was forbidden by House.
As Foreman lay dying, he apologized to Cameron -- who did not accept it initially, but when she was putting him into a chemically induced coma, she forgave him. Foreman also named her his medical proxy, giving her the right to a brain biopsy despite House’s objections.
Once again, with Cameron’s relationship with House: did House show feelings towards her when he awakens from getting shot, and then trusts Cameron to inform Dr. Cuddy that he wants ketamine to relieve the pain in his leg?

[Writing sample:]
Your character is on break when a page comes for you to attend to some problems in the ER. When you go down to talk to a woman who displays signs of a serious infection. Your character should ACCURATELY and realistically observe the symptoms as well as diagnose this problem. [Since your character is a canon, I request several paragraphs].
Cameron slowly sipped her cup of coffee savoring the moment in the doctor’s lounge enjoying her break. It was another long day of diagnosing and treating patients, and listen to House’s ranting. She was supposed to get off break in another twenty minutes until her pager vibrated against her hip. Cameron heaved a sigh and checked it.“Room 102, child patient unstoppable vomiting”. Cameron got up and speed walked to the room.
The air around her filled up with a sour smell, there was vomit on the floor and a young girl moaning, clutching her stomach and throwing up into the waste bin in the bed. It was times like these that Cameron wished another doctor was here.
“Well, what have we got here?” Cameron asked the unfortunate nurse holding the waste bin.
“She was just admitted here five minutes ago, there is throw up all over the waiting room. Other symptoms include diarrhea and stomach cramps.” The nurse replied.
Cameron pulled on rubber gloves and stepped over the thick pool of yellow with orange chunks to the patient.
“Hello, I am Dr. Cameron, can you tell me what you have eaten in the past hour?” Cameron asked sweetly.
“Had eggs at diner,” the girl moaned. Cameron thought about diseases that would include eggs, after all, vomiting was usually because of food. The girl’s symptoms clearly showed food poisoning; raw eggs at a jaunty diner.
Cameron went over to a women standing out of the room looking into the window with a very concerned expression.
“Hi, I’m Dr. Cameron, are you her mother?” she asked. The women nodded unable to take her eyes off her heaving daughter.
“Well, did you notice if her eggs were watery this evening?”
The women turned to Cameron, a horrified expression crossed her face.
“Why yes, now that I think about it, they were a bit watery,” she replied.
“Bacteria in raw eggs will cause food poisoning,” Cameron said.
“Is it treatable?” she asked quietly.
“I’m afraid not with medicine. It’s a virus, so all we can do is treat the symptoms and wait until it passes.” Cameron responded.
“Alright,” the women said.
Cameron returned inside the room.
“Ok, we’ve got food poisoning. She should not eat except for some small amounts of bland food. Once she stops throwing up make sure she drinks something. If she can’t hold anything down and she gets dehydrated then give her IV fluids. Keep her overnight.” Cameron informed the nurse. “If you need me you know where to reach me,” she said as she exited the room.
